About the campaign

AIM OF THE CAMPAIGN

The purpose of this campaign is to encourage gay and bisexual men to adopt strategies, adapted to their personal sexual profile, that reduce their vulnerability to taking a risk.

CAMPAIGN OBJECTIVES

The overall objective of the campaign is to reach gay or bisexual men who may have risky sexual practices and to engage them in reflection and dialogue regarding the factors and situations that make them vulnerable to taking a risk.

The campaign seeks to attract the attention of gay and bisexual men through an original message that will make it easier for them to:

  • get more information about how HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are currently affecting gay and bisexual men
  • identify their own areas of vulnerability
  • identify strategies and methods that will help them to reduce risk
  • obtain support in choosing the strategies that are best adapted to their personal situation and realities

SHORT AND LONG-TERM GOALS

In the short term, the campaign hopes to foster a general understanding that certain factors and situations can make people vulnerable to risk-taking, and to enable individuals to recognize and discuss the situations and factors that, on a personal level, make them vulnerable to taking a risk.

Over the long term, the campaign seeks to reduce risk-taking by increasing the capacity of individuals to develop personal risk reduction methods and strategies relevant to the way they experience their sexuality.
